Our Founder: Mark Christopher Romera Benjamin
Rev. Mark Christopher Romera Benjamin is the visionary founder of CANVASS OF LIFE, a community-based organization dedicated to empowering individuals, inspiring hope, and transforming communities. With more than 40 years of ministry experience in preaching and music, Rev. Benjamin has devoted his life to serving others through faith, leadership, and artistic expression.
Professionally, Rev. Benjamin has served the citizens of St. Louis with distinction for more than 30 years in the St. Louis City Department of Corrections, where he has held positions as both a Corrections Officer and Lieutenant. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to public service, mentorship, and helping individuals recognize their potential for personal growth and transformation.
Known as a music and arts extraordinaire, Rev. Benjamin has used his talents to inspire generations through music ministry, creative expression, and community engagement. His passion for the arts, combined with his dedication to faith and service, has made him a respected leader and advocate throughout the St. Louis community.
As founder of CANVASS OF LIFE, Rev. Benjamin continues to champion initiatives that promote leadership development, educational advancement, mentorship, and community empowerment. His life's work reflects his enduring belief that every person possesses unique gifts and that, through guidance and opportunity, individuals can paint a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Rev. Benjamin currently hold graduate and undergraduate degrees from New Bethel Christian University.
